First make sure javascript and cookies are enabled. Option Internet Explorer. From the main menu click Tools->Internet Options. Choose the Security tab click the Default Level button and then drag the slider to the bottom. This will turn off the security. If you are using Internet Explorer 6 then choose the privacy tab and slide the allow cookies bar to the bottom and click OK. Type in to the browser: [yourdomainname]/cpanel (e.g. www.webhostinginjapan.com/cpanel). You'll be prompted for login and password after which you'll be logged into the cpanel. CPanel is the "control panel" to administer your web site.

From the Main Screen of the CPanel, top right corner, is the CPanel Statistics section. One of the links is "Analog Statistics" which has an extensive breakdown of statistical infor which can help you plan for the future. There are tons of reports we've listed a few of the more useful ones:
Monthly Report, Daily Summary, Hourly Summary, Domain Report, Referring Site Report, Browser Report, Operating System Report, Directory Report, and Request Report. |

Below is an example of the Browser Report. This is one of the many analog reports. The browser report shows the different versions of browsers that are accessing your site. So if you notice that a lot of people are trying to access your web page, with lets say Netscape on Mac then you might think of revisiting the estetics of your page using that particular browser. Also if you don't see certain browser using your site like PalmPilot or imode phones then supporting these browsers/devices might not be worth the investment or it might mean you need to make the investment in marketing to get these browsers/devices to be visiting your site.

For more graphical web stats, Webalizer offers both Daily and Monthly traffic information in an easy readable format. In combination with the Analog Stats "Referring Site Report" you can judge which sites are referring the most traffic and plan marketing accordingly.
