Flyer Exchange: Tidbits

The Flyer Exchange is a marketing practice. When we are out on the
town, to make ourselves useful, we drop flyers off, take flyers, and
then distribute them. Typically we ask for 50 copies of the distribute
point's flyers but won't refuse more. We believe in what comes around
goes around and since we are distributing our own flyers we can also
distribute other companies flyers.
-
How it's done? Every company has to market themselves, so
finding willing places to put flyer is as simple as asking. Once
companies find out it's free, they are very willing to become a
distribution point. The most important thing is to first ask permision.
Also not every company will take any companies flyers. Such as with
companies in the same industry. So a pub probably won't take another
pub's flyer. Also some companies have a minimal standard for the look
of other company's flyers. One reoccurring issue we've run into with
other company's flyers is that they are black and white photocopies that
don't make the grade. In this day and age photocopies don't cut it
anymore. Think about it flyers not only advertise a service it is a
representation of your company. If the means by which your company uses
to promote it's brand is a photocopy think about customers' perception
of your brand, your service, your company. It's therefore understandable
that distribution point's don't want to tarnish their own image by
promoting another company that doesn't care about it's own image.
